My sketchbook is something that means a lot to me

The drawings inside my sketchbook tell the story of what I was thinking and how I was feeling at that time in my life. It followed me though middle and high school. It traveled with me when I signed myself over to a mental institution for what I now know to be schizoaffective disorder. This sketchbook represents all I’ve overcome to be the woman I am today with a husband, a job, and children. When I open the pages and flip through the sketches, I’m frightened by what I used to be but I thank God now that my life is different- and better!
